Strikeforce veteran, Bobby Lashley, has inked a three-year fight deal with Shark Fights; debut slated for November.
Former professional wrestler and collegiate amateur wrestler, Bobby Lashley, has now found a new home. The officials announced last Saturday that the fighter, who made a professional MMA debut last 2008, has signed a three-fight deal with the Shark Fights promotion.
The financial terms of the deal, as well as the debut date and opponent, were not yet revealed. However, Bobby Lashley is expected to be a part of a Shark Fights event in Missouri this coming November.
Shark Fights is undeniably one of the MMA’s top regional promotions. It has even expanded its capacity through signing a partnership with HDNet and FUEL TV. Its seventh show of 2011 is now slated sometime this month.Read the rest of the article »

A few months ago, during Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos’ hiatus, rumors emerged that she will be fighting for World Wrestling Entertainment. It is also said that a negotiation between the promotion and fighter is in the works. However, the WWE execs denied these rumors.

Former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista also known as Batista had open up a MMA gym at Tampa with Cesar Gracie as his business partner.
Based on a report from TMZ, former WWE professional wrestler Dave “Batista” Bautista and famous MMA trainer Cesar Gracie have joined together as a business partner to open up A Gracie Jiu Jitsu franchise in Tampa. The gym is only open for those close martial friends for now but next week it will be open for the public.
The last news about Bautista’s MMA career is that it was banished, thanks to the UFC acquiring Strikeforce. We’re not just sure if Bautista is still believes that he can actually join MMA or that Cesar is just using the Gracie named like that.
Its more like just a publicity than a serious business, or is it Bautista still trying to step into the ring of UFC convincing Dana White that he got what it takes to be a mixed martial artist.View Article Source »
Heavyweight superstar David Batista is coming inside the MMA cage sooner than expected. Are we looking forward on a May debut?
MMAWeekly reported about a rumor mentioning the debut of former WWE wrestler David Batista inside the octagon.
According to the site’s independent sources, Batista will likely to debut on the mixed martial arts cage this May however, not in the US territory.
It has occurred that the cause of the issue of his debut fight is that he has the desire to do the fight before September. After September, Batista will start to work on a film project.
Several organizations are asking for his services, one of them is Strikeforce’s Scott Coker, but according to sources, Batista is actually thinking of going to a British-based BAMMA promotion.

David Bautista is more than ready to enter the Strikeforce cage. Under the training of Nick Diaz, he might be excited to join the league of MMA. Though there are no deals to be confirmed yet, he might meet former WWE pro Bobby Lashley inside the octagon.
Former professional wrestler, David Bautista, is very much into MMA. The heavyweight pro was present last Saturday in “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons II”. He gave his support to MMA mentor Nick Diaz. Though he noted that the deal is “not even close to done.” Hopefully, if everything runs smoothly, we will see Batista in the cage by March 2011.
