Fedor Emelianenko finally got an opponent in Jeff Monson, as they are set to lock horns on November 12 in Russia.

As Fighting Insider reported last Monday, M-1 Global co-founder – Vadim Finkelstein – said that Fedor Emelianenko’s next event will be in Russia. In relation to this, Jeff Monson tweeted recently that he will face The Last Emperor on November 12.

Fedor Emelianenko was released from Strikeforce after dropping his third consecutive loss against Dan Henderson. Meanwhile, Jeff Monson is most known for his four-fight run in UFC in 2006. That victory streak ended with a loss to Tim Sylvia at UFC 65.

Moreover, Jeff Monson was rumored to face UFC contender – Gabriel Gonzaga – next month. However, no word on whether his upcoming match against Fedor Emelianenko would change that plan.
