Danny Castillo receives an indefinite suspension after knockout loss to Michael Johnson.

The Minnesota Office of Combative Sports has issued medical suspensions to selected UFC on FX 5 fighters, last Wednesday. The UFC on FX 5 event was held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, last Friday. Among those who received a medical suspension was lightweight fighter Danny Castillo.

“Fight Night” Winners for UFC on FX 5 Announced

“Fight Night” winners for "UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot" event each received a cash bonus of $40,000

UFC officials have announced last friday’s UFC show, “UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot” event’s “Fight Night” winners. The event was held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last Friday.

TUF 12 finalist Michael Johnson was awarded with “Knockout of the Night” , while Justin Edwards got the “Submission of the Night” and prelim fighters Diego Nunes and Bart Palaszewski both got the “Fight of the Night” bonus.

Each fighters received a cash bonus of $40,000 for their exemplary performance in their respective bouts.

The televised event was aired in two parts. The main card was aired on FX, while the prelims was shown on FUEL TV.

UFC on FX 5 Fight Card Card, Now Set

The "UFC On FX 5: Browne Vs. Bigfoot" event is set to take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this October 5

The fight card for the upcoming UFC on FX 5 event is now official. The event features four bouts in the FX main card, six preliminary-card fights to be aired on FUEL TV and two prelims to be streamed live on Facebook. The event will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Travis Browne and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and will be co-headlined by welterweights Jake Ellenberger and Jay Hieron.

UFC fighters Aaron ‘A-Train’ Simpson and Mike Pierce are set to engage in a welterweight bout in the upcoming UFC on FX 5 event. The news has been confirmed by Ariel Helwani for MMAFighting.com. Simpson last fight was at the UFC on FUEL TV 4 event, where he entered the Octagon at 170-lbs and defeated Kenny Robertson via a unanimous decision.

UFC on FX 5 Event, Moved to a New Date

UFC on FX 5 was originally scheduled to take place on September 7, 2012

UFC on FX 5 was supposed to take place this September 7 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event is now moved to another date.

According to reliable sources, UFC on FX 5 will now commence on October 5. The location and venue for the card, is still uncertain. UFC officials have yet to make an announcement on this recent changes.

UFC on FX 5 would have been the promotion’s second event at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, formerly known as Conseco Fieldhouse. UFC 119 took place in the same venue back in September 2010.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse is home to the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, the WNBA’s Indiana Fever and the Big Ten Conference basketball tournaments.

UFC on FX 5 will be held at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis on September 7

UFC officials have announced the details on the upcoming UFC on FX 5. Indianapolis will host the event on September 7 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The fight card for this event is still unannounced. One thing is for sure, notable Indianapolis-fighter won’t be on the card. He has already retired from fighting last year. He was planning to run for a senate seat, representing the Indiana, but fell short in his bid for a Republican nomination.

Tickets for “UFC on FX 5″ will start selling on July 20. The event includes a main card to be aired on FX and its prelims on FUEL TV.
