UFC is gearing for a Toronto comeback, after its UFC 129 tourney, for the upcoming UFC 140.
UFC is planning to make their return to Toronto on December 10 for the UFC 140. This will be the second event of the promotion in the said place, after having a succesful debut at UFC 129 back in April. The news was confirmed by sources that are close to the situation on Tuesday, following an initial report from ESPN.com.
Toronto is the place that hosted the largest MMA event in North America, when UFC 129 hit the city. Over 55,000 fans attended the said tournament, which featured Canadian – Georges St-Pierre – in the Rogers Centre.
While UFC 140 will be the promotion’s second trip to Toronto, there’s still no fight card that was announced or rumored for the said show. But it was reported that UFC 140 will be held at the Air Canada Centre. It is also said that UFC welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre – who fights at the end of October at UFC 137 – will be absent for the said event.
