UFC 120: Maldonado Replaces Blackledge

"It's very frustrating as the camp has been going really well, sparring and everything has been really good and I have been a lot lighter than usual as well. I am hoping that once I am recovered I can start to build that momentum again and show what I can do in the UFC" - Tom Blackledge
Tom Blackledge was forced to pull out of his encounter versus James McSweeney in the upcoming UFC 120 due to injury. And this withdrawal comes as a major disappointment to the fighter, as he was really looking forward to this event. In addition to his frustration, this is a chance for Blackledge’s family and friends to witness the event since he was supposed to make a UFC debut in his homeland — London.
On the lighter side though, happy to be in Blackledge’s boots is the heavy-handed Brazilian striker, Fabio Maldonado. Maldonado, with a record of 17-3-0, will ensure that there will be a stand-up war at UFC 120, as McSweeney is set to make a splash in the 205lbs division.
