Former UFC heavyweight prospect, Todd Duffee, withdraws from his bout against Nick Gaston due to undisclosed injury. The DREAM officials confirmed at ESPN.com last Monday that Todd Duffee was out of his match for Fight for Japan: 2011 Bantamweight Tournament Final.

That said, DREAM tapped Tim Hague to step in against Nick Gaston. However, the promotion was not able to come to terms with the fighter. Hence, Nick Gaston was also removed from the lineup.

Todd Duffee is no longer under UFC.

UFC’s heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee (6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is free. More than a year now after Duffee went out to the UFC octagon with a seven second KO of Tim Hague. Now, the 24 year old fighter is no longer employed to world’s largest MMA promo. Alex Davis, Duffee’s manager confirmed the report. But he didn’t give further comments after that. As well as the fighter himself.

Duffee’s victory over Hague was the fastest KO in UFC history. Duffee was defeated by Mike Russow at UFC 114 in a dramatic turnaround which became history too for the organization. Duffee might control the first two and a half rounds but in the end Russow got the scores.

Meanwhile, Duffee is targeted to fight with Jon Madsem during UFC 121. However, a knee injury forced him out of the contest which gave way to Gilbert Yvel to replace him.

There is still no news on his new plans so stay tuned. There is still no news on his new plans so stay tuned.
