UFC 135 Gets 16,344 Attendance for $2M Gate

UFC 135 drew 16,344 MMA fans to the Pepsi Center in Denver last Saturday for a $2 million live gate.

The UFC 135: Jones vs Rampage event held last Saturday was a success, attaining over 16,000 attendants and a live gate of $2 million. UFC President, Dana White, announced the good news during the evening’s post-event conference. The event, which took place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, witnessed the submission victory of Jon Jones over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

The exact number of the complimentary tickets delivered was not disclosed, but reports have claimed that the numbers have a revenue of $122.37 per ticket issued.

UFC 135 is said to be the first UFC event that was held in Denver since “The Ultimate Ultimate” show way back in December 1995. Meanwhile, the company was reported to have visited the Broomfield, Colorado two times, but only for the UFC Fight Night and UFC on Versus cards.

The Colorado State Boxing Commission is expected to formally confirm the given figures soon.

Tickets for UFC 136: Edgar vs Maynard 3 goes on sale starting today!

Set to take place on October 8 in Toyota Center in Houston, tickets for UFC 136: Edgar vs Maynard 3 will go on sale starting today. UFC Fight Club Members will get the first chance to purchase their tickets later at 10:00 am CT. Then on Thursday, August 18, UFC Newsletter subscribers can purchase theirs at 10:00 am CT. Ticket sales will go public on Friday, August 19 at 10:00 am CT as well.

The UFC 136: Edgar vs Maynard 3 will feature a rubber match between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard, following their 125 fight which resulted to a draw. Also in the main card is a featherweight title match between reigning champion, Jose Aldo, and Kenny Florian.

This Saturday’s UFC 126 event is sold out and now UFC 127 proves to beat the history of promotional pre-order sales.

Despite having a bit of a dull economy, UFC still shows who’s got some supremacy over the MMA fans. This March’s UFC Fight Night 24 event proves the mantra while the UFC 129 in Toronto is planning for an expansion of seat sections. This news was happily brought by UFC President Dana White.

The UFC Fight Night 24 event takes place on March 26 at KeyArena, Seattle. Tickets went available last week. The big boss expects UFC 129 to be bigger due to the powerhouse cast behind the event. UFC 129 takes place in Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

UFC Fight Night 24: Ortiz vs Nogueira Airs on Spike TV

UFC's leading television partner announced that they will be airing the UFC Fight Night 24: Ortiz vs. Nogueira.

The UFC officials announced the final plans on UFC Fight Night 24: Ortiz vs. Nogueira which will happen on March 26 in Seattle.

Since Spike TV is their television partner, the network announced that UFN 24 will be aired via same day delay.

Tito Ortiz will be leading the fight with a must-win stand facing Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the main event. The co-main event features a welterweight fight between Dan Hardy and Anthony Johnson.

If you’re planning to attend the UFC Fight Night 24 event this coming March then you better start lining up this week because tickets will go on sale this coming Saturday.

The UFC Fight Night 24 will take place on march 26 at the KeyArena in Seattle. This is UFC’s first time on the state of Washington. It will feature former light-heavyweight champ Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the Spike TV-televised headliner.

UFC officials announced yesterday that next week’s UFC 126: Silva vs Belfort event is sold out. But despite the sellout, fans can still purchase a $50 ticket to the UFC 126 closed-circuit viewing party, at the Islander Ballroom at Mandalay Bay. UFC 126 graces the promotion’s return at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The UFC 126: Silva vs Belfort event will feature a middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort. The event will air on pay-per-view, live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, on February 5.

UFC 127 sold tickets faster than expected. Australian fans is definitely itching to see who's leaving the Octagon with the pot money. Are you ready to place your bets?

Tickets for UFC 127: Penn vs Fitch was sold out in just 30 minutes, making the event the fastest sellout in UFC history. According to UFC exec, Marshall Zelaznik, the rapid sales for UFC 127 proved how popular the sport was in Australia.
