UFC returns to Australia for the UFC on FX 2, intros new flyweight division.

UFC returns to Australia for the UFC on FX 2 event that will feature a welterweight showdown between top contenders Thiago Alves and Martin Kampmann.

The event also marks the debut of their new flyweight division and opens with two flyweight bouts. The first will feature Joseph Benavidez and Yasuhiro Urushitani and Demetrious Johnson against Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall.

With UFC stacking good fight cards this year, matchmakers - Joe Silva and Sean Shelby - once again set another main card for UFC 130. Check out the latest UFC 130 fight card below.

After booking almost all major events through UFC 129, UFC matchmakers, Joe Silva and Sean Shelby, once again set the main card for UFC 130. Set to take action on May 28, UFC 130 will be headlined by a third fight between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.

As fans can recall, Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard recently greenlit UFC 125, wherein Frankie Edgar tried to defend his lightweight championship belt against Gray Maynard. However, the fight ended with a draw, prompting officials to book the third meeting.

UFC 124 Lineup, Almost Complete

UFC 124 is nearly there, and the lineup in almost complete. Four additional bouts were added on the list. Check out if your favorite fighter is included, and don't forget to share your bet.

UFC has added four new bouts to the UFC 124 event, as the lineup nears completion. Now included in the card is a lightweight clash between Joe Stevenson and Mac Danzig, and a welterweight showdown of Thiago Alves versus John Howard. Also added in the line up are two preliminary bouts between Ricardo Almeida versus T.J. Grant and Pat Audinwood versus John Makdessi.

Thiago Alves Expected to Face John Howard on UFC 124

Still without official announcement, sources say that Thiago Alves will face John Howard on UFC 124.

Thiago Alves (17-7 MMA, 9-4 UFC) after the Mike Pierce welcoming fight issue, is expected to fight John Howard (14-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC) at UFC 124.

Reliable sources were saying that agreements are taking place and the contracts are ready for signature.

Though the fight wasn’t announced yet, the UFC 124 is expected on December 11 at the Bell Centre, Montreal and will feature a welterweight title bout from champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Josh Koscheck.

Alves is opting for a reclamation after his recent performance. Wherein Jon Fitch lost via unanimous decision last August in UFC 117.
