Cain Velasquez talks about his torn shoulder, his potential bout against Strikeforce's stable of heavyweights, and his possible rematch against Brock Lesnar.
UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez, brought himself at the top after snatching the title from Brock Lesnar last October. However, his biggest victory came without a cost, as he acquired a shoulder injury during the match. This brings him and his new belt on the sideline, while recuperating from surgery. If all goes well, Cain Velasquez is likely to make a comeback sometime in the fall. More over, he might headline the UFC Houston event, facing either Brock Lesnar or Junior Dos Santos.
As part of the Super 7 Q&A session in Toronto last month, Cain Velasquez addressed his injury, his likelihood to match-up against Strikeforce’s heavyweight fighters, and his feelings about a possible rematch against Brock Lesnar.

For the first time in MMA history, UFC will present their seven champions all in one stage on Friday.
For the very first time, all seven UFC champions will simultaneously take the stage on Friday, in line with UFC 129’s fan events. The Super 7 event will take place at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, and the promotion will promote a web livestream of the said fan event.
The Super 7 will present Dominick Cruz (bantamweight), Jose Aldo (featherweight), Frankie Edgar (lightweight), George St-Pierre (welterweight), Anderson Silva (middleweight), Jon Jones (light heavyweight) and Cain Velasquez (heavyweight) on the stage.
