Adlan Amagov is looking to climb the welterweight ranks. Says he wants Shields or Kampmann for his next fight

Adlan Amagov wants to test himself against tougher oppositions after disposing T.J. Waldburger in the first round of their fight in UFC 166. The Russian prospect, which scored the most brutal knockout in the event, has set his sights on top rated welterweights Jake Shields and Martin Kampmann for his next UFC appearance.

“It all depends what UFC has planned for me, but I would like to fight in New Jersey on Feb. 1,” states Amagov through his interpreter. “I have a lot of fans in the area who would love to come support me. I’ll face whoever UFC wants to put in front of me, but I’d like to fight Martin Kampmann or Jake Shields.”

Jake Shields sees Carlos Condit and Matt Brown as possible opponents for his next fight

Jake Shields already has an idea of whom he will face next after the upset win over Demian Maia in UFC Fight Night 29. He thinks that he will likely take on the winner between Carlos Condit and Matt Brown. Shields already holds a win over Condit when they locked horns way back in 2006. However, he says that he welcomes the idea of a rematch or a fight with any top rated welterweights.

UFC returns to the big screen with UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks

UFC 167, which is headlined by a welterweight title fight between George St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks marks the return of UFC to the big screen after almost a year. The last event to hit the theaters was GSP’s successful return against Carlos Condit in UFC 154, it was held a year ago in Montreal, Canada. Tim Kennedy is calling his future opponents to meet him in the middle of the cage and fight him.

Robbie Lawler’s elusive style surprised and frustrated Tim Kennedy on last Saturday’s Fedor vs Henderson tournament. And albeit Tim Kennedy earned a unanimous decision win, he was not happy with how the match went. That said, the Army veteran wants to keep the same thing from happening again by giving a direct messaged to his future opponents: “Meet me in the middle of the cage and fight me.”
