UFC Sets the Octagon in Detroit

The destination for UFC 123 is the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit.

Just like the old saying goes, “you gotta lose your mind in Detroit Rock City.” UFC will bear this on mind as they put up the biggest MMA show for UFC 123 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

It was last Wednesday when UFC President Dana White confirmed this location to MMAFighting.com. UFC 123 will take place on November 23. Detroit was selected to be the place to be after scheduling conflicts in Pittsburgh.

The main card for will be light heavyweight champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida. Other pair of fighter who already signed up for the event is welterweights Matt Brown and Rory MacDonald.

The last time UFC has been to Detroit was during the UFC 9: Motor City Madness took place at the Cobo Arena where Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn fought in the octagon.
