Cheick Kongo and Vinicius Spartan will compete for the heavyweight title shot in the main card of Bellator 106
Bellator officials have announced today that the heavyweight tourney finals between Cheick Kongo and Vinicius “Spartan” Queiroz will take place in Bellator 106. The addition of the fight completed the event’s 5-fight main card that is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown of UFC legends Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
Kongo has recently made his successful debut with Bellator by stopping Mark Godbeer in the second round of the tournament’s semifinal bout held more than a week ago. It marks Kongo’s first fight outside of UFC since signing with them in 2006. He parted ways with the promotion last April after the KO loss to Roy Nelson.
Queiroz, on the otherhand will try to look for his first back to back wins with Bellator. He is coming off a sensational knockout over Lavar Johnson where he stopped the UFC veteran in less than a minute of the first round of their fight in Bellator 102.
