UFC light heavyweight champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones has recently signed a multi-year contract with Nike

Jones has recently inked a multi-year contract with Nike, effective immediately as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Dan Henderson in Las Vegas, this September. He is the first MMA fighter to be hired by Nike. Jones will apparently be clad in Nike Gear in UFC 151.

Noons Welcomes Pacquiao in Cage and in Ring

After the No-Way-in-Hell Alert that Manny Pacquiao plans to try mixed martial arts, it seems like someone is willing to give the Boxing King a shot. But it still a thing of the future. Who knows?

Karl James “KJ” Noons already muster a 10-2 record in his mixed martial arts career, and may be the only fighter who anchors an akin boxing trail of 11-2 and 5 KOs. Sporting an outstanding transcript, Noons is eager to welcome the Pound-for-pound King of Boxing — Manny Pacquiao — in the MMA. But after that’s all been said and done in the cage, Noons is willing to step inside the ring with him too. If this bout will ever come into fruition, only time will tell. Still, KJ Noons deserves a round of applause as he shows his guts in facing anyone, both inside the cage and the ring.

Is it time for fans to realize that boxing and MMA can co-exist?

Pacquiao Inside the Octagon

Is world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao gearing up for a brawl inside the octagon?

As some people say, there’s no room for creativity in boxing unlike in cage fighting. But Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is not interested to engage in such creative field even though Manny Pacquiao himself stated that he’s open to try a mixed martial arts bout.

During a press conference for Pacquiao’s fight against Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13, the boxing champion said he wants to join the MMA but his promoters won’t allow him.
Some say that this is just an idle talk with the press but others think it would be a great opportunity for Pacquiao.
