Jewtuszko vs. Warburton Official for “UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch”

Maciej Jewtuszko (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Curt Warburton (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will soon hit the UFC Octagon. Both fighters are officially slated for UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch.
WEC import, Maciej Jewtuszko (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), and British fighter, Curt Warburton (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), will face-off soon.
Ultimate Fighting Championship executives officially announced today that the match-up will be a part of the preliminary card of “UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch.” Featuring a welterweight headliner between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch, UFC 127 takes place on Feb. 27 at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. The event airs live on pay-per-view.
Warbourton earned his UFC contract after a 6-1 outstanding record in U.K. He earned five stoppage wins, four of which are TKO victories and one came against UFC veteran Ross Pearson in England. Although, back in October at UFC 120, he suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Spencer Fisher.
After competing in Europe and posting a 7-0 record with seven stoppages, Jewtuszko signed with the WEC and made his debut last August at WEC 50. There, he scored a 95-second TKO upset of striker Anthony Njokuani, which earned him the “Knockout of the Night” bonus. He now heads to the UFC as part of the merger with the WEC.
