It's time for the heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, to protect his belt from being snatched away. Cain Velasquez is not just an ordinary challenger, because two victories against Cheik Kongo and Ben Rothwell anchor his resume. Is the belt here to stay? Or will it have its new owner?

UFC made the Lesnar-Velasquez match-up official last Monday with four additional bouts. The heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, will defend his title against the unbeaten Cain Velasquez in the UFC 121. The fight will headline the said event, that will take place on October 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Other match-ups featured for the pay-per-view event include a middleweight bout between Jake Shields and Martin Kampmann, a welterweight duel of Paulo Thiago and Diego Sanchez, a light heavyweight tilt between Tito Ortiz versus Matt Hamill, and Brendan Schaub will lock horns with Gabriel Gonzaga. Four unofficial matches between Todd Duffee and Jon Madsen, Patrick Cote versus Tom Lalwer, Court McGee against Ryan Jensen, and Dongi Yang contra Chris Camozzi are also lined up for UFC 121.
