Written on February 23, 2011 by Markham Mencken

After his exit from UFC, Brandon Vera is back in the promotion! But he's not coming for UFC 128 -- at least not yet.

A few months ago, UFC released Brandon Vera after his loss to Thiago Silva at UFC 125. But its seems that his exit was short-lived, as he will have his UFC return for at least another fight.

However, it is not yet clear whether Brandon Vera’s return will be contractual or simply another chance given by UFC. In addition to this, he has not been offered a fight slot as of the moment. One bout that Brandon Vera will not be part of, at least, is filling in for Karlos Vemola. Karlos Vemola was forced to back out from his UFC 128 fight due to injury.

Brandon Vera’s return has no definite date as of this time. But in case he gets a new match, Fighting Insider will keep you posted.

Karlos Vemola is stepping down from heavyweight to light heavyweight and is expected to fight Seth Putzerelli.

UFC 122 in Oberhausen, Germany will showcase the talents of Europeans. Multiple sources said that Karlos “The Terminator” Vemola (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is moving from heavyweight to light heavyweight and is expected to meet Seth Petruzelli (12-5 MMA, 0-3 UFC).
The UFC 122 event will take place on Nov. 13 at Oberhausen’s Konig Pilsener Arena and will air via Spike TV.

Vemola from Czech Republic is now residing in London. He first entered the cage during UFC 116. But he had no luck in his opponent John Madsen. The latter took the unanimous victory in the end.

Petruzelli had returned in the cage after a 3-year absence and met Ricardo Romero in UFC 116. Like Vemola, he didn’t go home with the victory instead, the spotlight turned into the new comer’s head.
