UFC Welterweight Mike ‘Quicksand’ Pyle, reveals in a recent interview, that he will fight Josh ‘The Dentist’ Neer on June 8 for the UFC on FX 3 event.
In an interview earlier this week, Mike Pyle has revealed that he will face Josh Neer for the UFC on FX 3 bout, that is set to take place on June 8, 2012. An online contest called the “Hometown Throwdown” is ongoing to pick the city where the event will be hosted.
The upcoming event will also feature a rematch between Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall for flyweight tournament which will crown the first UFC 125-lbs champion.
Pyle has recently won in the UFC 142 bout held in Brazil last January, where he was the only non Brazilian fighter to win in the event. He defeated Ricardo Funch after earning a first round TKO.
Neer earned a technical submission over Duane Ludwig in January at the UFC on FX 1 show in Nashville.View Article Source »
Shark Fights 16 came and went last Saturday, with the results already written in the books.
Shark Fights 16: Neer vs Juarez took place last Saturday, June 25, at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, Texas. The tournament featured Shark Fights Interim welterweight champ, Josh Neer, and top contender, Jesse Juarez. At the end of the match, the reigning champion earned a technical knockout victory, improving his record to 5-1. Also in the nine-fight card is a duel between Elvis Mutapic and Artenas Young. However, the latter was able to earn a decision win after three long rounds.

Current interim Shark Fights welterweight champ - Josh Neer - and Strikeforce and Bellator veteran - Jesse Juarez - will have a welterweight clash in the upcoming Shark Fights 16.
Shark Fights is already set to kick off at Odessa, Texas on June 25, with Josh Neer and Jesse Juarez headlining the event. Current interim Shark Fights welterweight champ – Josh Neer – is looking for his third consecutive win, while Bellator and Strikeforce vet – Jesse Juarez – will carry a nine-fight winning streak. Also in the main event is a welterweight match between Elvis Mutapic and Arteneas Young.
