Matt Hughes gets a new opponent, as Josh Koscheck officially replaces Diego Sanchez for UFC 135.

Last Tuesday, UFC President – Dana White – announced that Matt Hughes will officially face Josh Koscheck for the upcoming UFC 135: Jones vs Jackson event.

Matt Hughes was supposed to meet Diego Sanchez on the said tournament, but the latter withdrew due to hand injury. Stepping in for him is Josh Koscheck, who’s coming off a loss from reigning UFC welterweight champion – Georges St-Pierre – at UFC 134 last December. Meanwhile, Matt Hughes is making a return for the first time since UFC 123 after losing to BJ Penn.

Matt Hughes and Josh Koscheck will lock horns as the co-main event for UFC 135. The said tournament, which will go down on September 24 in Denver, will headline a light heavyweight title bout pitting Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
