Jim Miller looks to get back on track versus BJJ black belt Fabricio Camoes in UFC 168
The latest addition to the loaded year-end event of the UFC is a lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Fabricio Camoes. The event takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 28 and will feature the most anticipated rematch of Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.
Both lightweight veterans are looking to return in the winning column. Jim Miller was once included in the mix of the best lightweights in the UFC. He is riding in a 7 fight winning streak before losing to Benson Henderson in August of 2011. He is 2 – 2 with 1 NC after that loss. Miller was submitted by Pat Healy in his latest fight but the decision was later overturned into a No Contest after Healy tested positive in marijuana. That fight earned Miller his 3rd Fight of the Night Award; it is his 2nd consecutive after his unanimous decision win over Joe Lauzon. He has also won the Submission of the Night three times.Read the rest of the article »

Two of The Ultimate Fighting Championships' top lightweight performers are set to topple each other with only one to be hailed triumphant in the end.
Just outside Detroit, at the Palace Auburn Hills, Joe Lauzon and George Sotiropoulos (pictured) will again prove their mettle in the lightweight division as they face each other at the UFC 123: Jackson vs Machida on November 20. Whoever wins emerges as the best man, but the bout will undeniably lead to title contendership possibilities.
Veteran Lauzon previously flexed his MMA muscles in last month’s UFC 118 in Boston, where he defeated his fellow “Ultimate Fighter 5″ competitor Gabe Reudiger. His Octagon record runs 6-2, starting with his debut at the UFC 63 knocking out former lightweight champion Jens Pulver four years ago.
The older Sotiropoulos is flawless in his Octagon performances at 6-0. He won over decision nods in his recent fights with April 2007 Joe Stevenson and Kurt Pellegrino. He is a veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter 6″ with a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt.View Article Source »
