Twelve-year MMA veteran, Jens Pulver, will soldier on, as Chicago Cagefighting Championship announced his comeback at their March 5 main card. Can his comeback erase his mired six-fight losing streak?

The upstart Chicago Cagefighting Championship announced that Jens Pulver will be part of their March 5 fight card. Set to take action in The Odeum in Villa Park, Illinois, the UFC veteran will face an opponent that is yet to be named on the main card. Debuting for UFC in 1999 at UFC 22, Jens Pulver remains one of MMA’s notable figures. He fought to a draw with Alfonso Alcarez in UFC 22, followed by 11 victories of his next 12 bouts.

After claiming the lightweight title from Caol Uno, Jens Pulver vacated the post and fought around the globe for promotions like Shooto, IFL and PRIDE. He returned to UFC in 2006 and was defeated by Joe Lauzon. Jens Pulver was also defeated by BJ Penn, his rival coach at TUF 5. After that, he dropped down to featherweight, but has gone 1-6 since then. Jens Pulver’s most recent fight was a 68-second submission loss to Diego Garijo last August 2010.

Can he make a redeeming comeback at Chicago Cagefighting Championship this March? Share your insights by dropping your comment.
