Two fighters who are looking to retain their place in UFC will meet at UFC 139, as Ryan Bader is set for a duel against Jason Brilz.
Last Tuesday, UFC announced that two fighters who are trying to redeem their place in the promotion will lock horns, as Ryan Bader is set to meet Jason Brilz at UFC 139 this November.
Ryan Bader has dropped two of his most recent fights consecutively against current light heavyweight king, Jon Jones, and UFC Hall of Fame member, Tito Ortiz. Jason Brilz, on the other hand, will attempt to stave off his three-fight losing streak and will secure his place in the promotion’s light heavyweight division.

After Matt Hamill was pulled out of the UFC 129 card, Jason Brilz will step in his shoes to lock horns against Phil Davis.
Phil Davis, once again, has an opponent for UFC 129. Stepping in Matt Hamill’s shoes is the 11-year MMA veteran, Jason Brilz.
Phil Davis was originally penciled to battle against Matt Hamill for UFC 129. However, the latter was reportedly pulled out from the card in order to face Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in lieu of Thiago Silva for UFC 130. Following that, UFC tapped Jason Brilz to replace Matt Hamill and face Phil Davis on the upcoming April event.
The UFC 129 features a welterweight bout between champion, Georges St-Pierre, and latest UFC acquisition, Jake Shields. In a co-main event, featherweight king – Jose Aldo – will put his newly minted UFC belt on the line, as he faces Mark Hominick. UFC 129 is set to take action on April 29, at the Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada.View Article Source »
A new four-fight deal with the UFC in tow, Vladimir "The Janitor" Matyushenko will warm the cage with Jason Brilz at UFF 122 on October.
Verbal agreements are reportedly being shared by both parties, and a final agreement on a fight between Matyushenko (24-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Brilz (18-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) is closing in.
Unofficial schedule of the entire UFC 122 is anticipated to happen in November 13 at Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. The main card is not yet heading for the newsline, but Spike TV will surely broadcast the bouts in the same day they happen.
Recently beaten-down Brilz and Matyushenko are seeking a win in whatever upcoming fight they get into. The firefighter-slash-wrestling-coach Brilz faced Antonio Nogueira at UFC 114 on short notice. Although the latter scored a split-decision win, Brilz’s dominance reverberated out from the octagon to the whole venue hall. Matyushenko, on the other hand, just stuck a new deal with UFC. But his defeat to Jon Jones earlier this month at UFC on Versus 2 is still a disappointing reminder in his career. The former IFL champion re-entered the UFC last fall of 2009 after going absent from the organization for six years.
Watch out for updates on the UFC 122 in Germany.
