On Jackson’s Training Ground: Akiyama Preps Up for UFC 120

Standing from the cageside, ready to ascend to the cage himself, Yoshihiro Akiyama watched as spirited fighter sparred at Jackson's Mixed Martial Arts yesterday morning.
Coming from across the Pacific, the Japanese fighter had been ready for enlistment in the ever-extending list of trainees in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He officially joined the Jackson Camp in line with his preparation for the face-to-face encounter with Michael Bisping at the UFC 120 on October 16 in London.
Jackson’s general manager Ricky Kottenstette confirmed, “I was contacted by one of his representatives, and he said that (Akiyama) was looking to join a team. I went ahead and set it up, and he’s looking forward to working with (standup coach) Mr. (Mike) Winkeljohn and Greg for this camp.”
