Petrosyan Captures His Second K-1 Crown

Giorgio Petrosyan once again proved that he is the best kickboxer in the world, as he won an unprecedented second consecutive K-1 WORLD MAX GP at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

Giorgio Petrosyan once again won a K-1 World Max GP at the Ryoku Kokugikan. He defeated Yoshihiro Sato by unanimous decision, capturing his unprecedented second K1 crown.

Petrosyan and Sato came to the K-1 World Max in a roughly equal condition. But it was clear in the onset that Petrosyan has no equal in K-1. With Giorgio Petrosyan’s victory, he becomes the first fighter to defend a K-1 Max belt ever. And with that, he is arguably the most dominant fighter in kickboxing today.

Petrosyan and Drago Advances to K-1 Max Final 8

The best pound-for-pound kickboxer, Giorgio Petrosyan, put on a display of technical wizardry; and one of the most exciting K1 fighter, Gago Drago, finished the show with a devastating knockout.

Italy’s Giorgio Petrosyan and Armenia’s Gago Drago will advance to K1-Max Final 8 on November 8 in Tokyo. Petrosyan beats Vitaly Gurkov by unanimous decision, while Drago used a right high kick to knock Su Hwan Lee out. Giorgio Petrosyan and Gago Drago will be joined in the Final 8 by Mohammed Khamal, Mike Zambidis and Michal Glogowski. Albert Kraus, Yoshihiro Sato and Yuichiro Nagashima already advanced to the K1-Max Final 8. And with this line up, the eight-man, one night tourney will probably be a great show.
