UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort Drug Test Results

One of the most crucial parts of joining a UFC fight is the drug screening. However, if you're clean and good then it's no problem at all.

After the successful UFC 126 event comes the drug test results. The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday gave the official state of the 13 fighters which were screened for performance enhancing substances and drug abuse during UFC 126. The good news is the 13 fighters came out clean.

The following UFC 126 athletes were tested:  Vitor Belfort, Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin, Jake Ellenberger, Jon Jones, Miguel Torres, Donald Cerrone, Chad Mendes, Paul Taylor, Demetrious Johnson, Mike Pierce, and Kyle Kingsbury.

The event ended with Anderson Silva defending his belt and knocking out Vitor Belfort.

UFC 126 List of Salaries and Bonuses

UFC 126 winners are now rejoicing for a job well done. Kudos not only to their fighting careers but also for the salaries the fighters received.

Together with the list of suspended fighters for last Saturday’s fight, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the fighters’ salary information for UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort.

UFC 126 showcased the victory of middleweight champion Anderson Silva via K.O. against Vitor Belfort. Forrest Griffin tapped down Rich Franklin in the co-main event. UFC 126 took place last Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The figures below states the salaries plus the bonuses received by the fighters based on the report released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

UFC 126 Medical Suspensions

The winning and losing on UFC 126 event comes with injured fighters. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the official list of fighters who will have to recuperate for a while.

Behind the crunching knockouts and undisputed victories, fighters cannot deny the fact that obtained injuries that have to be attended immediately. Win or lose, injured fighters are priorities of UFC thus the implementation of medical suspensions.

Topping off the suspended fighters is Vitor Belfort who is suspended due to a face kick from Anderson Silva. Also, fighters Forrest Griffin and Jake Ellenberger will need a doctor’s clearance before entering any fight.

Join your favorite UFC fighters on the week-long marathon of events in preparation for UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort.

The UFC 126 event is fast approaching, and UFC officials are inviting fans to take part in the fight-week activities.

While this Wednesday’s UFC 126 press conference will not be an open gate, fans need not to get disappointed since they are still invited to attend Thursday’s open workout sessions.

The session features Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort, Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin, Jon Jones, Ryan Bader, Antonio Banuelos and Miguel Torres. The event will conclude at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The open workout takes place Thursday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT local time).

Mario Yamasaki Officiating UFC 126: Silva vs Belfort

Mario Yamasaki will officiate UFC 126 this coming February 5.

Mario Yamasaki, a veteran referee, will officiate next weekend’s UFC 126 main event between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

The report was confirmed today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Kieth Kizer. The jury behind the five-round bout will be Adalaide Byrd, Sal D’Amato and Glenn Trowbridge. UFC 126 will take place this Feb.5 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The night’s main card airs on Spike TV together with two preliminary fights.

The longtime martial arts enthusiast officiated fights for famous organizations like UFC, Strikeforce and PRIDE.

Spike TV Announces 12 UFC Prelims for 2011 Led by UFC 126

The year 2011 is a big year for Spike TV. The broadcasting company just announced that they will be airing 12 UFC Prelims and it will start next month with UFC 126.

As always, Spike TV will be broadcasting a dozen UFC Prelims this year. UFC Prelims is a one-hour program showcasing preliminary specials right before hitting the Pay-Per-View airing. The first special will be next month’s “UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort” event.

The February 5 broadcast will feature a lightweight fight between Donald Cerrone (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Paul Kelly (11-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and a featherweight fight between Chad Mendes (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Michihiro Omigawa (12-8-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC) live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
