An outspoken and sometimes polarizing figure among hardcore fans, Marcus Davis almost expects to be criticized for his move. But he's also realistic about his chances in the new division.
Marcus Davis aims to drop from welterweight to lightweight after seven years of being in the division. According to him, he made the decision since he feels that he suits at 155 pounds better. More over, he plans to stay in the new weight class until he calls it quits.

After some speculations that Carina Damm can't make it without her visa, it seems like she made it after all. The Brazillian Barbie Girl will complete the list for the 135 pounds, single elimination match in Phoenix.
Carina Damm made it to the show amidst all the speculations regarding her visa. Even Mike Afromowitz , Strikeforce Director of Communications, confirmed it. Damm will join Maiju Kujala, Hitomi Akano and Miesha Tate on a single-elimination tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. The bout is designed to find a challenger for the upcoming championship fight between Marloes Coenen and Sarah Kaufman. Sources say that Alexis Davis was contacted to step for Damm, in case the latter will not be able to secure a visa for the single night, 135 pounds, women tournament. Davis is coming off an astonishing performance against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 12 earlier this year. To fight against him is Wallace, who is in deep need for a win to stay on the match.
