Memorial Fund and Guest Book for Shawn Tompkins, Established

A special guest book and memorial fund was established in memory of the well loved MMA coach, Shawn Tompkins.

The world of MMA was devastated by news of Shawn Tompkin’s death this past weekend.

A beloved husband and son, the 37-year-old MMA coach is a successful entrepreneur and a devoted mixed martial artist. Affectionately called as “The Coach” by his friends and fans, Shawn Tompkins was found dead in his sleep on August 14. He was in Canada to help prepare Chris Horodecki for the fighter’s next bout on September 10 at the time of his passing.

The Tompkins family extends their deepest gratitude to The Coach’s friends and fans for their support. They are also asking to respect their privacy during this very difficult time. Horodecki vs Saunders, Scheduled for Bellator 47 Event in Canada

"The Polish Hammer" faces "The So-Cal Kid" on July 23's Bellator 47 event in Casino Rama.

Bellator recently added another bout to its upcoming Bellator Fighting Championships event, which will be held at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada on July 23.

The Bellator 47 show, which will air live on The Score & MTV2, is set to highlight the match-up between WEC and IFL veteran Chris “The Polish Hammer” Horodecki and Chris “The Sol-cal Kid” Saunders.

Bellator 47 will also feature the title fight between Bellator Featherweight World Champion, Joe Warren, and Season 4 Featherweight Tournament winner, Patricio Pitbull.

Horodecki vs Cerrone at WEC 53

It looks like Mark Hominick won't be the only Team Tompkins product who will get a step up in competition for his next WEC fight. Chris Horodecki is slated to take on former WEC number one lightweight contender Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone at WEC 53.

Another member of Team Tompkins will step up in a competition for the next WEC fight. Chris Horodecki is set to lock horns with Donald Cerrone at WEC 53, on December 16 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Chris Horodecki is carrying a 16-2 record in his resume, but was not able to grace his way impressively under the WEC banner. Donald Cerrone, on the other hand, is carrying a notable unanimous decision win over WEC lightweight champ Jamie Varner.
