Baker-Vianna, Shlemenko-Rogers Semifinals Set for Bellator 54

Two matches are now set for Bellator 54, as the promotion's season 5 middleweight tournament resumes on October 15.

With Bellator’s quarterfinals wrapped up, the fifth season of the promotion’s middleweight tournament will resume at Bellator 54. The semifinal round will pit Season 2 finalist, Bryan Baker, against Vitor Vianna; while Season 2 winner, Alexander Shlemenko, will lock horns versus Brian Rogers.

Bellator 54 will feature a lightweight title match between champion, Eddie Alvarez, and Season 4 lightweight winner — Michael Chandler. Also in the fight card are Zach Makovsky and Ryan Roberts that will face in a bantamweight match.

Bellator 54 will go down on October 15 at the Boardwalk Hall Ballroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Baker Wins at Bellator 30, and More

Three stories of triumph is now written in the Bellator's history. Bryan Baker just won a fight inside the cage despite having the Big C. And Ed West defeated Jose Vega, while Zach Makovsky also advances to the Bellator finals.

The 24-year-old MMA fighter Bryan Baker defeated Jeremy Horn at Bellator 30 last Thursday night. His triumph over Horn is his first bout after revealing that he has cancer. It was another impressive chapter scribbled in The Beast’s life, as he came back from a rough first round to getting a unanimous decision victory.

More over on Bellator 30, Ed West and Zach Makovsky advances to the finals of Bellator’s bantamweight tourney. Ed “Wild” West used his Jiu Jitsu over Jose Vega to control his opponent from the bottom, and winning via split decision. Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky, on the other hand, beats Bryan Goldsby by also controlling him on the ground. Wild and Fun Size will meet in the Bantamweight finals on October 14.

Bryan Baker looks on the brighter side for his fight against Jeremy Horn at Bellator 30 in Kentucky.

Bellator Season 2 middleweight semifinalist Bryan Baker and Jeremy Horn will take center stage at Bellator 30 on Sept.23 at Louisville, Ky.

Baker made his point clear regarding his goal. “The whole goal was to have a shot at the title, and I didn’t get to that point, so obviously there is disappointment. I didn’t get much of a chance to show my abilities in that fight, but I’m excited I get another chance in Louisville to give the fans a good show.”
