Strikeforce veteran, Bobby Lashley, has inked a three-year fight deal with Shark Fights; debut slated for November.
Former professional wrestler and collegiate amateur wrestler, Bobby Lashley, has now found a new home. The officials announced last Saturday that the fighter, who made a professional MMA debut last 2008, has signed a three-fight deal with the Shark Fights promotion.
The financial terms of the deal, as well as the debut date and opponent, were not yet revealed. However, Bobby Lashley is expected to be a part of a Shark Fights event in Missouri this coming November.
Shark Fights is undeniably one of the MMA’s top regional promotions. It has even expanded its capacity through signing a partnership with HDNet and FUEL TV. Its seventh show of 2011 is now slated sometime this month.Read the rest of the article »
David Bautista is more than ready to enter the Strikeforce cage. Under the training of Nick Diaz, he might be excited to join the league of MMA. Though there are no deals to be confirmed yet, he might meet former WWE pro Bobby Lashley inside the octagon.
Former professional wrestler, David Bautista, is very much into MMA. The heavyweight pro was present last Saturday in “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons II”. He gave his support to MMA mentor Nick Diaz. Though he noted that the deal is “not even close to done.” Hopefully, if everything runs smoothly, we will see Batista in the cage by March 2011.
Batista left WWE last May and shifting his focus on acting and MMA. Last June, he met Strikeforce executives for a possible deal on the octagon. He immediately began training with Nick Diaz and Cesar Gracie.Read the rest of the article »
After spending some time in the hospital, Bobby Lashley is back on his feet.
In Saturday’s Strikeforce: Houston, fighter Bobby Lashley was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after his loss to Chad Griggs.
In a statement from Lashley’ manager Dan Lambert, he said that the fighter experienced dehydration and required four IVs before being released from the hospital.
The brawl was mostly dominated by Lashley but when Griggs delivered an uppercut on the the former’s left eye, the fight turned upside down. Lashley was not able to redeem himself after his injury because Griggs gave away massive punches.
Lambert also denied the online rumors that there were issues concerning Lashley’s blood tests after the fight.View Article Source »
WWE pro Booker T pondered the loss of his past contemporary, Bobby Lashley, in an interview during Strikeforce: Houston Saturday. Here is a friend's analysis and advice, what he did think Lashley still has to do come his friend's next fight.
Bobby Lashley suffered a very disappointing loss from Chad Griggs. While the fights wore out, professional wrestling’s Booker T conveyed his thoughts from his own point-of-view regarding Lashley’s performance, whether MMA is posing a threat to pro wrestling and whether his mind had conceived fighting.
When Lashley came on to the cage, Booker T noted that the fighter was nervous, and he wanted that negative energy out fast. Lashley released it too soon. Besides, Bobby “let the crowd get to him today.” But the pro fighter has so much respect for the guys who get into the cage, especially for the man he went into the ring together in their WWE heydays. MMA reporter Ariel Helwani spoke with Chad Griggs during a post fight interview after the fighter won over Booby Lashley. Briggs defeated Lashley on the 2nd round via TKO of the Strikeforce: Houston.
In the video, Griggs shared his thoughts about being perceived as the underdog and how he managed to repel criticisms. He also enumerated his fighting strategies and why he felt frustrated about Lashley given time to rest during the battle.
