Bellator 27's fighters each had their moment of fame.
After being smashed on the first round with uppercuts, Joe Warren (6-1 MMA, 4-0 BFC) opened a box full of powerful strikes to former champion Joe Soto (9-1 MMA, 4-1 BFC) which left the latter unconscious on the floor.
Even though both fighters were former wrestlers, Soto’s strikes were dominant in the first round. Warren was simply wobbling in some occasions and simply inferior. But the second round proved everyone wrong. Warren took aim on the opponent and suddenly the wheels are upside down. He was back in the cage.
Warren uncorked a huge knee that dropped Soto. With good punches and Soto was slumped. He tried to regain power but he is destined to fall. In 33 seconds into the second round, Warren claimed the belt.Read the rest of the article »
