Mayhem Miller: No Fight Offer Due to Strikeforce Ban

Strikeforce had Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller under contract, but refused to offer him a chance to fight without explaining why. Until the fighter’s contract expired and inked a new one under UFC did Mayhem learn of the reason. According to UFC President, Dana White, Jason Miller was banned from CBS – the owner of Showtime – for his contribution in last years post-fight brawl that exploded live in CBS in Nashville. Unfortunately, representatives from Showtime – Strikeforce’s TV partner – declined to comment on the situation.

Albeit no one told Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller, he obviously suspected. Hence, he made his way into the cage to challenge then-middleweight champion, Jake Shields, for a rematch. However, Mayhem was mobbed by the title holder’s camp. Jason Miller was one of the five fighters to be fined and suspended after the row. But unlike other fighters who were also involved, he was not allowed to go back right to work.
