Two matches are now set for Bellator 54, as the promotion's season 5 middleweight tournament resumes on October 15.
With Bellator’s quarterfinals wrapped up, the fifth season of the promotion’s middleweight tournament will resume at Bellator 54. The semifinal round will pit Season 2 finalist, Bryan Baker, against Vitor Vianna; while Season 2 winner, Alexander Shlemenko, will lock horns versus Brian Rogers.
Bellator 54 will feature a lightweight title match between champion, Eddie Alvarez, and Season 4 lightweight winner — Michael Chandler. Also in the fight card are Zach Makovsky and Ryan Roberts that will face in a bantamweight match.

Zelg Galesic vs Alexander Shlemenko, set for Bellator Fighting Championships 50 in Florida.
Russian MMA fighter, Alexander Shlemenko (39-7 MMA, 4-1 BFC), who just debuted for the promotion last April 2010, has verbally agreed to fight Zelg Galesic (10-5 MMA, 0-0 BFC) at the forthcoming Bellator 50.
Though the officials of Bellator Fighting Championships have not yet finalized the lineup for the said event, Bellator 50 is expected to take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on September 17. Bellator will host two main fights plus first-ever women’s championship on Thursday night.
Bellator Fighting Championships is up and about on its third season which will feature two title fights. The headline for the full card is the middleweight title match between Hector Lombard and Alexander Shlemenko and the first ever Bellator Women’s Championship between Megumi Fujii and Zoila Frausto.
These battles will take place on Thursday night. Other fights which will happen on the event are Dragan Tesanovic against Mike Bernhard and Raphael Davis against Tony Lopez.
For the undercard portion, Tulio Quintanila will take on Brian Eckstein, John Queiroz against J.P. Reese, Igor Almeida faces Dan Cramer and Frank Carillo to fight Moyses Gabin.View Article Source »

The title match will be at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, California. The Lombard-Shlemenko bout will depend on the former’s health condition from the non-title fight against Goodman.
Howard Lombard currently has one of the longest unbeaten streak with 18-0-1 record on his résumé. He scored the fastest knockout in Bellator history, when he beat Jay Silva in six seconds. Alexander Shlemenko, on the other hand, is a 26 years old winner of the Bellator season two tournament. The “Storm” defeated Matt Major, Hess and Bryan Baker in succession, setting up a match against Lombard.
