One match-up was scrapped from the DREAM Fight for Japan: 2011 Bantamweight Final, as Todd Duffee bows out of his match against Nick Gaston due to injury.
Former UFC heavyweight prospect, Todd Duffee, withdraws from his bout against Nick Gaston due to undisclosed injury. The DREAM officials confirmed at ESPN.com last Monday that Todd Duffee was out of his match for Fight for Japan: 2011 Bantamweight Tournament Final.
That said, DREAM tapped Tim Hague to step in against Nick Gaston. However, the promotion was not able to come to terms with the fighter. Hence, Nick Gaston was also removed from the lineup.

Notable MMA fighters – Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre and Fabricio Werdum – are nominated for this year’s ESPY awards. The reigning UFC champs were nominated as Best Fighter, while Fabricio Werdum’s submission win over Fedor Emelianenko last June 2010 is listed for the Best Upset category.
The Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards was founded in 1993 to honor last year’s best achievements, moments and leading athletes. Online fan voting for the 2011 ESPY Awards is now open at ESPY Awards’ official website, while the ceremony will take place on July 13 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. This year definitely starter with a bang for MMA. Year 2011 started with big stories like Chael Sonnen's money laundering case, and with events like UFC 125 and the upcoming UFC 126. What's in store for MMA this year?
While people are still pre-occupied tallying up their “best of 2010″ list, or catching up with what they missed last year, it’s time to look forward and see what 2011 has in store for Mixed Martial Arts. So far, UFC has booked a couple of events until April, while Strikeforce has an upcoming heavyweight tournament. While the early part of 2011 is already stacked with top names and fights, it seems appropriate to look at some of the other fights that could hit the Octagon in 2011.
With UFC stacking top names and fights early on this year, the promotion already slated a rematch between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard after their bout ended to a draw. With the rematch in place, and with Anderson Silva set to defend his title against Vitor Belfort, it seems appropriate to see some other fights that could hit the Octagon this 2011.

UFC 125 will open the year 2011 with a bang! The January 1 event will cast fighters who are making big come backs. The unofficial rumor is that Tavares will risk his undefeated glory to the veteran Baroni. We're surely not going to miss that.
Brad Tavares(5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) of the Ultimate Fighter 11 will risk a perfect record just so he could play the cards with Phil Baroni. Baroni (13-12 MMA, 3-6 UFC) is a veteran fighter, they will meet on UFC 125. Though not yet officially announced, verbal agreement was said to be closed. UFC 125 will take its place on January 1,2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas,
After the semifinal cast off on TUF 11, Tavares fought Seth Baczynski at the show’s finale last June. He won via decision that moved his record to 5-0. UFC 125 will mark his first fight after 6 months.
On the other hand, Baroni is on the rebound after his November 2009 loss to TUF 7 champion Amir Sadollah. While an injury force him out of UFC 118 last August. Baroni made a UFC come back last 2001 and following a release in 2005. He had striked on PRIDE, Strikeforce, Elitexc and other promotions as well.View Article Source »
