The Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation has officially released the full salary list for the concluded “UFC on FUEL TV 3″ event. The list shows that Twenty-four fighters earned a total of $481,000 in salaries. The list submitted doesn’t include the “Fight Night” bonuses of $40,000.

UFC lightweight Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone got a $60,000 paycheck ($30K to show and $30K win bonus), making him the top earner for the event. Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens lost to Cerrone via a decision and earned $24,000 for his loss. Second in line was welterweight Amir Sadollah, who made $48,000 ($24K to show and $24K win bonus) for defeating Jorge Lopez ($6,000) by decision.

Chan Sung Jung, made an extra $80,000 for “Submission of the Night”, while his nemesis Dustin Poirier got an extra $40K for winning the “Fight of the Night” award. Tom Lawlor was awarded with the “Knockout of the Night” prize.

Mark Hunt is forced to step out from the upcoming UFC 146 event, after suffering from a knee injury. Set to replace him in his scheduled heavyweight bout against Stefan Struve is former Strikeforce fighter, Lavar ‘Big’ Johnson. Johnson has just nine days to prepare for his upcoming fight.

Both Struve and Johnson offered their thoughts regarding their short notice match up:

“I heard last night there was a chance I could get this fight and I accepted right away. You don’t get chances like this too much in life, so when you are lucky, you make the most of it. I took one week off after last fight [May 5] and then went back to the gym.” said Johnson.

“He’s looked impressive in his first two fights in the Octagon, but I’m gonna look even more impressive next week. I want to thank him for stepping up on such short notice, but he’s gonna face the best Stefan Struve you’ve seen so far.” said Struve.

Johnson recently earned a TKO victory over Pat Barry in this month’s UFC on FOX 3 event. While Struve last fought Dave Herman in last February’s UFC on FUEL TV 1 event, where he also won via a TKO.

“UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir” will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26, 2012.

Fighting Insider has the quick match results from the recent UFC event, UFC on FUEL TV 3: “Korean Zombie vs. Poirier” that took place on Tuesday, May 15th at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

The event was headlined by a featherweight bout between Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier, with 25-year-old “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung emerging as the big winner by submitting Poirier with a D’Arce choke.

UFC President Dana White explains his absence in tonight’s UFC on FUEL TV 3 event, through his Twitter account (@DanaWhite). This will be the first time for White to not appear cageside for a live UFC event. He has been always been present for the past eleven years.

White tweeted: “first fight I will miss in 11 years and it is KILLING me!!! I have to have surgery in LA 2 morrow or trust me I would be”.

White is set to undergo surgery in L.A. for his Meniere’s disease. An inner ear disorder that causes vertigo, affecting balance and hearing.

Bad news to all Canadian UFC fans, the tickets are now officially sold out. 18,000-plus tickets have been sold out since it went on sale, just two days ago.

The event may lack some of UFC’s top fighters, however it did not stop their Canadian fans to purchase the tickets since the pre-sale began last Thursday. While the general public were allowed to buy their tickets just last May 12.

“UFC 149: Aldo vs. Koch” will be held at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 19. It features a headlining bout between featherweight fighters Jose Aldo and Erik Koch.

UFC officials have announced via UFC.com yesterday, that a lightweight fight between John ‘The Natural’ Alessio and Shane Roller will be added to the upcoming UFC 148 event.

“It’s well-rounded striker vs. well-rounded grappler as verbal agreements are in for a lightweight fight between John “The Natural” Alessio and Team Takedown’s Shane Roller at UFC 148.”

Allesio returns to UFC for the third time and is seeking to earn a win after losing via a unanimous decision to Mark Bocek in last month’s UFC 145. While Roller suffered from a series of loss, losing for the third time to Michael Johnson in UFC on FOX 2, also via a unanimous decision.

UFC 148 will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 7, 2012.

UFC President, Dana White announces the official date for the upcoming UFC 151 bout via his twitter account, @danawhite:  “John Jones vs Dan Henderson for Jones UFC LHW title on Sept 1st in Las Vegas!!!!”

‘UFC 151′ will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between champ Jon Jones and number 1 contender, Dan ‘Hendo’ Henderson.

This upcoming bout will serve as Jones’ fourth straight title defense after a disqualification loss to Matt Hamill back in December 2009. He recently defeated his nemesis Rashad Evans via a unanimous decision, in last month’s UFC 145. He holds a fighitng streak of 7 straight wins.

While Henderson is riding a “four fight win streak” after defeating Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua in last year’s UFC 139 event. This will be his third attempt to earn a UFC victory after losing to Anderson Silva and Quinton Jackson at a PRIDE/UFC unification bouts (middleweight and light heavyweight).

UFC officials have announced the inclusion of lightweight fighters, Terry Etim and Joe Lauzon in the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 event. These bout is expected to be shown in the event’s preliminary card, that is set to air on FUEL TV and stream on Facebook.

Both fighters are expected to recover from their individual defeats in their last bouts. Etim lost to Edson Barboza last January. While Lauzon suffered from a knockout loss to Anthony Pettis in last February’s UFC 144 event.

UFC on FOX 4 will take place on August 4 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Papy Abedi replaces an injured Rich Attonito at the upcoming UFC on FX 4 event. He will now face fellow welterweight fighter, Rick Story in the event’s preliminary card. UFC officials made this announcement earlier today.

This bout will be the chance for Story to regain his momentum after falling short in his last two bouts against harlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann, which he lost via a decision.

UFC on FX 4 will be held at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 22. It will be headlined by welterweight bout between Clay Guida and Gray Maynard in the event’s maincard.

The maincard will be aired on FX, while the preliminary card is set to air on FUEL TV.

UFC officials have finally unveiled full fight card for this July’s “UFC 149: Aldo vs. Koch” event. The event is set to be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Jose Aldo and challenger Erik Koch.

UFC 149 features five bouts each on both the main card and preliminary card events. It will be held at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta, Canada on July 21. The event’s maincard is set to air on Pay-per-view, while the prelims is expected to air on FX and streamed via Facebook.
