Jim Miller vs. Fabricio Camoes added to UFC 168 card
Jim Miller looks to get back on track versus BJJ black belt Fabricio Camoes in UFC 168
The latest addition to the loaded year-end event of the UFC is a lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Fabricio Camoes. The event takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 28 and will feature the most anticipated rematch of Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.
Both lightweight veterans are looking to return in the winning column. Jim Miller was once included in the mix of the best lightweights in the UFC. He is riding in a 7 fight winning streak before losing to Benson Henderson in August of 2011. He is 2 – 2 with 1 NC after that loss. Miller was submitted by Pat Healy in his latest fight but the decision was later overturned into a No Contest after Healy tested positive in marijuana. That fight earned Miller his 3rd Fight of the Night Award; it is his 2nd consecutive after his unanimous decision win over Joe Lauzon. He has also won the Submission of the Night three times.
Fabricio Camoes has also lost his last outing with a unanimous decision loss to Melvin Guillard more than a year ago. He has only won once out of four fights in the octagon. It was a submission win over Tommy Hayden in an event that was headlined by Miller and Guillard. Miller won the main event with a rear naked choke and earned him his last Submission of the Night award.
UFC has not yet announced if they will put the bout in the main card or in the Facebook prelims. It should be noted that Miller has been competing in the main cards in the majority of his career. He also had back to back headline bouts against Melvin Guillard and Nate Diaz.
