Tim Boetsch Calls Hector Lombard “A Bully in The Ring
The middleweight bout between Boetsch and Lombard is set to be featured at the event’s main card. Lombard was originally set to duel with Michael Bisping, who was pulled out from the event after sustaining an injury.
In a recent interview, Boetsch says that Lombard is a “bully in the ring but I won’t be intimated”.
When he was asked regarding his edge over Lombard, Boetsch answers:
“I think my ability to stop takedowns because oftentimes in fights, when someone puts a little bit of pressure on Hector, he shoots in for a takedown so he can relax for a little bit so he can recover. I’m not gonna give him a chance to recover. Sometimes he just walks forward because he thinks he can intimidating. He’s a bully in the ring but I won’t be intimidated. I don’t get intimidated by anybody regardless of how scary you look or how hard you punch, those thoughts just don’t enter my mind.”
“He’s gonna be at a disadvantage in a few areas in this fight and I look forward to showing just how much of a disadvantage he is in those areas.”
Boetsch recently defeated Yushin Okami last February in Japan at UFC 144. He now enjoys a series of three straight wins since moving down to 185-lbs from light heavyweight.View Article Source »
