Daniel Comier Will Have His Last Strikeforce Fight This September
Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament champion, Daniel Cormier, may move over to UFC after his September match ends
Daniel Cormier is set to have his final fight for Strikeforce promotion this September 29th. Strikeforce officials made the announcement during the airing of the “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy” event.
Comier’s opponent and the event’s venue has yet to be confirmed.
Comier, the current Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament champion and former Olympic wrestler, defeated Josh Barnett via unanimous decision in last May’s Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Finale. Both fighters broke their hands during their exciting bout.
He fought as an alternate fighter for American Kickboxing, where he defeated the likes of Jeff Monson and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva.
