Terry Etim, Withdraws From UFC on FOX 4 Due to Injury
Etim is set to engage in a lightweight bout against Joe Lauzon in the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 event
The news of Etim’s injury was announced last Tuesday night at the “UFC Tonight” program in FUEL TV. The nature of his injury was not made clear and his replacement has not been named.
Etim’s last bout was at UFC 142, where he was defeated by Edson Barboza via a knockout. He and Barboza were awarded with a “Fight of the Night” bonus for their action packed performance during their bout. Etim currently holds a 1-2 standing in his last three fights, including a a seventeen-second submission victory versus Eddie Faaloloto at UFC 138.
While Lauzon ended his two-fight win streak when he got defeated by former WEC champ Anthony Pettis, via a first round knockout, last February in UFC 144. His winning streak were over his victory over Melvin Guillard at UFC 136 and Curt Warburton at UFC on Versus 4.
