Tito Ortiz, To be a UFC Hall Of Fame Awardee
Former UFC light heavyweight champ, Tito Ortiz will fight one last time at the upcoming UFC 148 event on July 7
UFC president Dana White mentions the next UFC Hall of Fame inductee, during the recent press conference for UFC 150. He confirms that it will be former UFC light heavyweight champ, Tito Ortiz.
“This Hall of Fame induction is going to be Tito (Ortiz).”
“I think he’s a guy, pound for pound at the time when we were hurting, was trying to do more damage to this company than anybody in the history of the. But at the same time I think that the storylines played out and it’s a part of our history between me, Chuck and Tito. It is definitely a part of the history of the sport.”
Ortiz is set to retire after his fight against Forrest Griffin at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He will be officially be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame at the UFC Fan Expo the weekend of UFC 148. He will be the ninth person to be awarded with such honor and the first since former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes was inducted back in 2010.View Article Source »
