Jon Fitch Injured, Withdraws From UFC on FUEL TV 4

Welterweight contender Jon Fitch suffers from knee injury
Welterweight fighter Jon Fitch is forced to withdraw from a scheduled bout against Aaron Simpson at this July’s UFC on FUEL TV 4 event.
Fitch injured his knee while training. Meanwhile, Simpson is expected to remain on the card. UFC is currently searching for Fitch’s replacement.
Simpson is a two-time NCAA Division I All-American wrestler and once fought for WEC. He fought eight times as a middleweight for UFC. He got defeated with a split decision at last February’s UFC on FUEL TV bout against Ronny Markes.
Fitch would have fought for the first time since a disappointing 12-second knockout loss to Johny Hendricks, last December.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman. The event will be held at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California on July 11. The main card will be aired via FUEL TV, while the prelims is expected to be streamed on Facebook.
