UFC 146 Drug Tests Come Back Clean
Frank Mir was given a TRT exemption for his title match against Junior dos Santos.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the drug testing results for the recently concluded UFC 146 event. The records show that all 24 fighters came in negative for the usage of performance enhancing drugs and/or recreational/drugs of abuse, NSAC executive director Keith Kizer confirmed.
Frank Mir surprisingly was given a therapeutic-use exemption (TUE) for Testosterone Relpacement Therapy (TRT) for his bout against Junior dos Santos. Fighters like Shane Roller, Todd Duffee and Dan Henderson were also previously given the same exemption. While Chael Sonnen is seeking approval from the NSAC for his upcoming bout against Anderson Silva at UFC 148.
UFC 146 was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Lass Vegas, Nevada, last May 26. It was in this event where Mir has ended his three fight win streak, after he lost Dos Santos, who won via a second round TKO.View Article Source »
