Dana White Wants Daniel Cormier to Drop Weight

UFC President Dana White would like to see Daniel Cormier drop to 205-Lbs for his UFC debut.
UFC Dana White was asked about Strikeforce Grand Prix Tournament winner Daniel Cormier’s possible octagon debut at the post fight press conference of the recently concluded UFC 146 event and he had a lot of thing to say.
White said:
“Yes, he will end up coming over to the UFC. The thing is I’d love to see the guy go down to two-hundred-and-five pounds. I think he’s a small heavyweight over here. Listen, I respect Josh Barnett, he did work Barnett. Barnett fights like once a year, I’m not taking anything away from Barnett, but it’s a whole other ballgame here. I’m not telling him, if the guy wants to stay at heavyweight, I’m not going to tell him where to go, but I think it would be a good move for him to go to two-hundred-and-five pounds.”
When asked if he will give Comier a shot, White said:
“If he comes over and wants to fight for the heavyweight championship, yes.”
Cormier defeated Josh Barnett at the Strikeforce Grand Prix Tournament Final, by earning a a unanimous decision victory. Both fighters have one fight left before their Strikeforce contract expires. Cormier seems to have a greater shot at a UFC title and has the possibility to fight either Junior dos Santos or Cain Velasquez.
