Last night’s Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix event shows Daniel Comier emerging as the winner in a heavyweight bout against contender Josh Barnett.
Comier starts off by looking extremely relaxed, he then punishes Barnett with body shots and knees to the head, while Barnett attempts land a jab, when he could find space. Comier prevails as the more active fighter and fires of a variety of high kicks along with his punches, battering Barnett. His victory came in at the fifth round by earning a unanimous decision over Barnett, with a score of 49-46, 50-45, 50-45.
‘Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Final’ was held at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, last May 19.
