Croatian Fighter, Mirko Cro Cop Wins in the “Final Fight”
Croatian kickboxing and MMA Legend Mirko Cro Cop, Defeats Ray Sefo in "Final Fight"
Iconic Croatian fighter Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, wins via a unanimous decision at the main event of the “Final Fight”. This bout is Cro Cop’s first time to fight in his homeland in over a decade. He was well received by his fellow countrymen all through out the event.
Filipovic who has come from triple losses in recent bouts, landed solid combinations and attacked Sefo with a series of uppercuts and clinch strikes. After his victory, Filipovic spoke on the mic and said goodbye to an emotional crowd. Sefo followed suit and said:
“Mirko, I don’t even know why this guy wants to retire, because after his performance tonight he should keep fighting. I want everybody to understand that, Mirko Cro Cop is the number-one fighter to ever have come out of Croatia. Not only is he a living legend in kickboxing and K-1, he’s a living legend in MMA. So you guys are very lucky to have such a great hero like him, and he’s very lucky to have great people like you guys.”
It is very admirable for a fighter like Sefo, to pay his respects to an opponent, especially if he was defeated.
