UFC on FUEL TV 2 Event Draws 15,428 AttendeesMark Munoz Injured, Chael Sonnen To Face Michael Bisping
Bisping replaces injured Mark Munoz and faces Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox 2.
With less than two weeks before the event, Mark Munoz has been forced out of the UFC on FOX 2 co-main event. Munoz who was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an injured right elbow will be replaced by Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping.
“Munoz is injured and out of the FOX fight,” UFC President Dana White announced via Twitter. “Now it’s Chael Sonnen vs. Mike Bisping Jan. 28, and the winner will fight Anderson for the title.”
Bisping, who was supposed to square off with Brazilian Demian Maia, will face middleweight contender Chael Sonnen while Maia goes up against undefeated middleweight Chris Weidman.
UFC on FOX 2 is scheduled to go down on Saturday, January 28 at the United Center in Chicago.
