Tyson Griffin Sets up Charitable Event for Boys Town of Nevada
UFC featherweight fighter, Tyson Griffin, is setting up a charitable raffle promo for the Boys Town of Nevada prior to his UFC 137 match.
Prior to his UFC 137 match, Las Vegas resident – Tyson Griffin – decided to make a special giveaway for the benefit of Nevada’s Boys Town. The fighter will conduct a raffle on his official website, and the grand prize winner will get a ticket for UFC 137’s event and the fighter’s after party. Every donation worth $25 is equivalent for a raffle entry, and all proceeds will go to the state’s Boys Town.
“I could have been in their shoes. I had a chance to work with Boys Town a couple of times for the UFC and learning about the kids down there and what their situations were, I could relate. Growing up my parents got locked up and I was in foster care for a little bit and I could really relate to those kids and understand what they’re going through and what the situation is. I was one of those kids back in the day and I just want to really give back based on the situations I came from and help those kids understand that it doesn’t really matter where you come from that you can still come out on top.”
Tyson Griffin’s manager, Tom Call, said that it is their way of giving back because they want to set new standards on how fighters can contribute to their communities. He also added that more fighters from Impact Fight Management will be doing charitable works as their tournaments approach.View Article Source »
