World Kickboxing Champ Cosmo Alexander Signs with Bellator
Cosmo Alexander joins Bellator Fighting Championships' lightweight division.
Following a successful career in kickboxing, Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexander decided to sign a long-term deal under the Bellator Fighting Championships. He is expected to make his promotional debut at Bellator 52 in Lake Charles, Louisiana on October 1. The terms of the promotional agreement were not yet disclosed, and so as his opponent on the upcoming bout.
As stated by Bjorn Rebney, Bellator Chairman and CEO, “The decision to make Cosmo the latest addition to the Bellator lightweight division was an easy one. His striking is simply on another level and will give anyone at 155 pounds serious problems. I can’t wait to see Cosmo’s progression in the sport under the Bellator banner.”
Though this would be the first time for Cosmo Alexander to compete in MMA, he is still considered to be one of the veteran kickboxing fighters to date. He boasts a record of 40-14 in pro-kickboxing and 2-1 in pro-boxing. He even won several titles in WMC intercontinental and WPMF world kickboxing.
Cosmo Alexander, who is currently training at Imperial Athletics with the support from Rashad Evans and Tyrone Spong, has promised to perform a thrilling fighting style in his upcoming debut. “I’m coming to Bellator to put together some devastating knockouts,” he said. “I want to knock my opponents out with head kicks, elbows and knees in the clinch. I can submit guys now, and I’m definitely prepared to fight on the ground, but I’m definitely going to be looking for the knockout when I step inside that Bellator cage.”View Article Source »
