Gerald Harris vs Kazuhiro Nakamura, Booked for DREAM 17 in Japan

Newly signed, Gerald Harris, is set to face UFC veteran, Kazuhiro Nakamura, at Dream 17 on September 24.
Recent reports disclosed that promotion’s new comer, Gerald Harris, has verbally agreed to meet Japanese mixed martial artist, Kazuhiro Nakamura, on the upcoming DREAM 17 event.
DREAM 17 is expected to be held at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on September 24. Broadcast plans for the said event stays unknown, but the promotion confirmed that they are currently negotiating with television partner – HDNet – in terms of airing the match-ups.
Gerald Harris (18-4 MMA, 0-0 DREAM), a former member of Ultimate Fighting Championship, just signed his multi-fight deal under DREAM last July 25, 2011. Following his release from the UFC, he obtained a unanimous decision victory over journeyman – Anthony Ruiz – at Tachi Palace Fights 9. However, this success turns into a misery after losing to Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves and James Head via unanimous decisions.
The chance to fight once again inside the cage was indeed inspiring for Gerald Harris. “Everybody’s had situations in the past, but I’m just saying overall – they have a great reputation, they produce great fighters, and they’re highly respected,” Harris stated of DREAM.
On the other hand, coming out from the camps of UFC, PRIDE, Sengoku and DREAM, Kazuhiro Nakamura (15-10 MMA, 0-0 DREAM) takes pride in holding a two-fight win streak over Karl Amoussou and Hidehiko Yoshida. Unfortunately, a huge change occurred when he obtained a submission loss to Kazuo Misaki at Sengoku 9 and a TKO loss to Jorge Santiago at Sengoku 6.
