UFC 131 Streaming Live on Facebook.
UFC is now utilizing the famous social networking site Facebook to stream some preliminary cards for their loyal fans.
UFC President, Dana White, has a few refrains and catch phrases. At this point, fans might as well tag “business as usual” on to the UFC’s current partnership with the Facebook. Dana White has said several times that he believes the future of television is on the Internet, and he appears to have an intent to prove that.
The UFC will broadcast fights from UFC 131 preliminary card on its Facebook fan page on Saturday, allowing fans to watch free bouts. UFC 131: Dos Santos vs Carwin, from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, will show five fights in Facebook. These bouts will lead into a pair of prelims broadcasted live on Spike TV, which in turns leads into the pay-per-view card. The UFC’s event page for Saturday’s card listed the information on Tuesday.
It will be the tenth successive event that the UFC will use the popular social networking site to air matches that previously would have been unaired. And for the fourth consecutive events, fans can now see each fight on the card if they watch the Facebook stream, Spike televised prelim and the pay-per-view.
To have an access to the event, which will start at 5:50 pm ET, viewers must click the like button of the UFC’s fan page.View Article Source »
