Gina Carano, Forced out of June 18 Strikeforce Card
After being unable to get a medical clearance, Gina Carano was forced out from Strikeforce's June 18 card.
“Following a medical examination yesterday afternoon, Gina Carano’s medical clearance was revoked by her doctor and consequently she will not be able to fight on June 18. The timetable for Gina’s return will be determined after further tests are conducted this week.”
That said, the Gina Carano vs Sarah D’Alelio match will be pulled out from the card and will be replaced with a lightweight duel between KJ Noons and Jorge Masvidal. Meanwhile, Strikeforce officials did not have a timeline for Gina Carano’s return. However, the fighter is keeping her fingers crossed to get clearance and comeback in the cage soon.
Scott Coker, on the other hand, said that they may find a new opponent for Sarah D’Alelio. However, further details is yet to be announced.View Article Source »
