Shane Carwin is Back, Finer and Fitter
After recovering from a surgery, Shane Carwin worked really hard to get back on the octagon. Now on his comeback, with his new training regimens, and a much more lighter weight, there will be no one stopping him on pursuing a title shot for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
As Brock Lesnar, the WWE Superstar had to withdraw from a bout against dos Santos as a result of some other struggle with diverticulitis, a common digestive disease particularly found in the large intestine that required surgery, Shane Carwin stepped up to replace him.
Shane Carwin, born January 4, 1975,an American mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he was formerly the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion. With a career status of 12 wins and 1 loss including a 7(t)ko wins,5 submission wins.
It was a big alternation on just a week or a two notice. Yet, it is still a challenge that Carwin is glad to take. Actually, despite the magnitude of the match, training for the said bout doesn’t need a big changes.
Carwin told MMAWeekly.com in an exclusive one on one interview before the match that their camp stayed the same. Its the strategy that change a little bit.
Carwin in the first place was scheduled to return much sooner than this, but reoccuring problems with his neck and back finally push him to attend a corrective surgery. That comes together with a new diet and systematic training plan left Carwin much lighter than he was before, something that he’s excited about.
He reflected that it does wonders for him, specifically pointing to his mostly organic diet.
carwin also said that he’s strength is still there. the explosiveness has elevated and he’s prepared to step up on the octagon to face Junior dos Santos at Rogers arena on Saturday night.
